Be A Light!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God is so wonderful! We are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. There are days when we shine so bright and there are days when we are but a flicker. There will be days like these. But remember to keep the flame burning no matter how high or how bright. If a flame is small it can still be seen in the dark but if it goes out it will lead no one. In those days when you feel like a flicker surround yourself with all things God and He will make your light shine brighter!

And just when you think you can't go another step, you can! There are so many times when we think that we just cannot go another mile.....But we somehow we do. That's God! Good Morning Christian Peeps! Rejoice in the Lord always! I like the next part of this verse...let your gentleness be evident to all. How many times have we needed someone to be gentle with us... Then the next line says.... The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. What a great verse of scripture. When we are feeling fragile, the Lord is near. The peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and our minds....
Look up today....our strength comes from our Heavenly Father....we can get through today. We can have that peace and gentleness envelop us! He is our everything! And He is Near! Reach out and touch Him today!

Have you ever gone to bed at night after a long hard day that was full of stress or strong exertion? Oh, how good it felt to just lie down in bed letting your body’s muscles go into complete relaxation mode. The strain of the day had been let go and you no longer had to hold up your head or your aching back. You trusted yourself to the bed in a state of complete confidence that it would hold you up without you even giving a thought to it. You just rested.This too is what it means to rest in the Lord. Let our souls lie down in his will, as our bodies lie down in our beds at night. As we do this, we can relax our body letting go of every burden trusting that the Lord is right there to hold us up. Matthew 11:28 - “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

It's interesting to me that the first two commandments that God gives us is not concerning how we dress or where we go or what we drink, but they are specifically about love. He tells us to first love Him with everything we have and then to love our neighbors as ourselves. Not that we just love them but to love them as we love ourselves. Just A Taste Will Do!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God knows what we need. It looks like we are getting a taste of spring. I believe this is so we won't lose heart and will have the assurance that it is coming. It may not be today or tomorrow or even in a month...but if we hold out, it will come. Life is like that in general. There is a saying that I heard when I moved to Michigan. "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes, it will change". I thought people were joking but for the most part it is right on. If we don't like what is happening in our lives, we can do the same thing. Wait and it will change. When we turn to God with whatever that is and then wait, it will change.

We get a taste of heartache, so we can celebrate and appreciate the good moments of our lives. We get a taste of sickness, so we can celebrate and appreciate wellness. We get a taste of financial hardship, so we can celebrate and appreciate when the finances are in good shape. Sometimes we get a taste of something to see if we like it. Otherwise how would we know. Think on the little taste of good things that we get from time to time during the day. A smile, a hug, a kiss, a look....just a taste to carry us through.

Cling To The Vine!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God is worthy to be praised! I heard a minister speaking about times in our lives when we need to just cling to the vine. That there are times in our lives when instead of seeing how much we can add to our lives and make ourselves more stressed out....that maybe we need to just cling to the vine and get physical and spiritual healing. In other words...we need to just be for a while until we gain strength. Cling to the vine from where our strength originates from. Cling until we feel that we can handle the things in our lives. If you are feeling stressed out today, I encourage you to go and hang from the vine. Rest in Jesus.

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God Is Our Hope!! Be Strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. I love the scripture in Psalm 9:18....For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Our Hope is in God. His word tells us that He will not forget us when we have needs. The Poor doesn't have to expect to stay poor forever. Once again, we have to trust him enough to turn it all over to Him. He is the one who made this Earth and all the wonderful things in it. If we believe that He created the Earth and everything in it....then we have to believe that He can and will supply our needs no matter what is going on around us! Take Heart Today! God Is Our Hope! Believe, turn it over and watch God make a way!!

He was bigger in the story of David and Goliath. He was bigger whatever the situations in the Bible. He is bigger than a bad economy. He is bigger than poor decisions on wall street. God is bigger than anything we might face. Look back in areas of your life when He was bigger than what you were facing and He came through! What has changed? Certainly not God! He is the same yesterday, today and forever! What He did for Paul, he will do for you. What He did for Abraham, he will do for you. What He did for Esther, He will do for you! God Is Merciful...Trust Him!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God is merciful! When we are going through things that we can't understand or explain, we need only to cry out to our God and he will deliver us. Sometimes we go through unexplainable tribulations....such as diseases, job layoffs, deaths...things that make us wonder why... But no matter what we face....God is merciful and He will not forsake us! Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. Good Morning Christian Peeps! What a wonderful, wonderful God we serve! By Faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. I wonder what they were thinking as they marched around the walls. About the fifth day what was going though their minds? Sometimes we need to have faith and practice patience in order to see what God is doing in our lives. By faith we can wait upon the Lord. By faith we can wait seven days, or 3 weeks, or 4 months, or 2 years.....by faith we can know that God is working it all out. Be Blessed With Abundant Faith Today!
