Don't Lose The Promise Land!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! There is story in the Bible that accurately displays the difference between walking with God through our Ego and walking through the Spirit. When walking through your Ego...you began to think that because you have experienced a little power that you are then free to make major choices on your own without consulting God. On the other hand when you walk in the spirit you remain humble and always consult God before making any moves. As a result of letting Ego take over, we then forfiet the "Promise Land". For Moses it was literally the Promise Land. Moses had led the Isrealites for 40 years listening to them moan and complain. He had been up on the mount and had been given the Ten Commandment.. he had seen miracles beyond which we can only imagine. And he had walked with God and obeyed God. However, there came a time when God ask Moses to do something, and instead of doing it God's way...he chose to do it his way. Because of that choice he was excluded from the Promise Land. Now that may seem harsh to you and me. But the example that this one episode gives us is tremendous. We are faced with many challenges throughout our lives and though God gives us free will, he also wants us to consult him on any decisions to make sure they are the right ones. Imagine being able to look back and see where God has led you to this point. To see the trials and temptations that you have overcome through Christ. Then in one instance....you are in another trial...designed to take you higher...you get weary and instead of consulting God and crying out for his guidance...you make the decision on your own (Ego takes over). Everything that you have accomplished up until now....is gone...the very thing that you have been striving to accomplish in one decision is gone. The promise land has been bypassed. We can avoid this situation today. We can choose to consult God on everything, to walk in humility, to understand that there is a reason that he has to be consulted on everything we do. There is a reason that when we do it his way....we get to enjoy the promise land. May we all walk in the spirit today. Leave our Ego's out of it. For we are truly nothing without him! Be Blessed Today In The Spirit.
