Love Others As We Love Ourselves!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God is so amazing! When we think about God's commandments for us we think a lot of times about the "Ten Commandants" that God gave to Moses. But I read in Mark that the most important commandments of all is to first of all acknowledge that the Lord our God is one Lord and then to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength....then the second one says: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these. It was very important that we love our neighbor and that we love them like we love ourselves. Now most of us love ourselves a lot... :) and that's okay...but do we love our neighbor like we love ourselves? We finished a series on forgiveness last night at bible study and afterwards we wrote down things we needed to forgive: people, situations, ourselves and we went outside and threw it in a fire to symbolize that we were giving it to God and letting go of those things that we were still holding in our hearts. There were some confessions about certain situations and people that caused hurt but that now it was time to let it go and give it to God... There was an amazing feeling of love for each other around that fire.... We truly wanted, I believe for everyone to be able to let go so that the unforgiveness would not stand in the way of where God was leading us. My petition today is that we all reach out to one another and love, forgive, lift up and pray for each other. Love truly does conquer all! Be Blessed today with Love!

Mar 12:29
Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.

Mar 12:30
'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'[fn5] This is the first commandment.

Mar 12:31
"And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'[fn7] There is no other commandment greater than these."
