Going Up The Mountain!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I am forwarding a message from Bro. Tom Balke at our church.....in response to my Christian Peeps the other day. It struck a chord with me and I hope it helps you as well. The one thing that stood out in my mind was when God said that we don't have to go up the mountain but if we will he will do things through us that will amaze even him! I needed to hear that! I want to go up the mountain but the pressure I was putting on myself was too much! Now I can relax and instead of feeling the need to push my spirit I can just be lead by God! I hope you enjoy this! Be Blessed!

Sis. Thressa,Okay I was looking into Exodus 20 today and saw something incredible I missed EVERY TIME I read it before and I wondered if I was suppose to share it here. (This is where God gave the commandments and the law to Israel, and the mountain of Sinai was on fire and lightning and supernatural trumpets and so on...) Well, I sort of said to the Holy Spirit: "If you want me to share it with the peeps let Sis. Thressa say something about mountain climbing. ZING. Your peep was on climbing how kewl is that. So this is what I saw: Basically picture 3,000,000 Israelites scared out of their wits because they knew if they touched the mountain they were going to be killed by God. Fear is such a motivater. In verse 17 of chapter 19 they stood: "At the nether part" and in verse 18 of chapter 20 they stood: "Afar off". Now nether and afar mean two completely different things. Nether is translated "other" (side), and "Afar off" is translated with a valley or plain in-between. That's a difference of about 5 to 10 miles. That means the children of Israel wanted to see, and wanted to know, but wanted NOT TO BE INVOLVED. They moved farther away because of what? What was it about the command not to touch the mountain that made them move away. I asked the Lord about this and he said: "Son, do you remember mountain climbing when you were young?" I answered: "Why yes Lord we had such good times then, it was great! I would like to do that again someday!" He said: "Which mountain did you enjoy most?" I said: "North mountain in Phoenix". Then he said: "And where did that mountain actually start?" I said: "What do you mean where did it START?" He said: "How did you know when you were actually ON the mountain?" I thought a while. "I guess when I started seeing things below getting smaller, and my ears started popping, then I knew I was ON the mountain." He said: "How do you think the Israelites knew?" I paused. "Lord, I think they just kept backing up until they started up a different mountain". "That's exactly right". He said, and continued... "When you don't know where the boundaries are, you end up in a trial of your own making, a mountain you were never intended to climb. It's good practice, but not in the right direction. I never intended for my children to run away. I intended for them to look to the ones I would choose later. That's why I raised up pastors. To help my children know where the mountain begins". "Wow" I said, Jesus... your awesome. thank you for our leaders, but especially our pastors. "Thanks, but I am not done with this talk yet". He said. "Uh-oh" I thought. (I am probably in trouble.) "Why does touching the mountain kill some of my children?" "Okay, I think I got this." I said... "Because they are starting a journey without being properly prepared". "I am proud of you for answering right". He said. "Mountain climbing is serious business. If your willing to do it, I will prepare you, but if you think you can do it without preparation, you will fail". "So it's my choice?" I said. "You don't HAVE to climb a mountain, Tom, if you don't want to, but if your willing to, I can do things through you that will amaze even me. Just know it's life or death up here and you need to begin by loving someone already on that journey." "Your saying some of our leaders..." "Your pastor's especially." he interrupts, "my pastors" I said "Go ahead and say it, for I am leading you to speak". Okay... I say... "My pastor's are laying their very lives on the line journeying up this mountain... and PREPARATION starts with helping them..." "Now that's what I want you to share" he says. "I will" I say. and I did. "Lord, thank you for my pastor's Wayne and Connie. Thank you most that they courageously journey up the mountain to receive from you direction and manna to feed your people. help me help them in every way I can. Help them help me prepare for my mountain too.In Jesus name,-your son, -Tom

The Bigger The Battle, The Greater The Accomplishement!

Good Afternoon Christian Peeps! I'm sorry.....sooo busy! Something to think about! The bigger the battle, the greater the accomplishment! Imagine that the higher you climb, it may seem harder but only because you are getting closer to the Father and Satan doesn't want that to happen! Keep on pushing yourself to make it beyond this particular situation... You can make! I believe in you, God believes in you and so does your friends and family.

Be Blessed!

Recognizing Your Blessing!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Bro. Jakes the other morning was talking about how when God sent the Manna from heaven the children of Isreal did not recognize it for the blessing that it was.....it didn't smell like they thought it would smell, it didn't look like what they thought it would look like....so it must not be what they were expecting. They already had the blessing from God and didn't know it. This hit home to me...because I have been looking for something from God that looks like what I think it should look like. I have been looking for my blessing from God with human eyes.....In order to recognize God's blessings I must first look through spiritual eyes. I may need to recognize that I have my blessing already and start living it. I challenge all of us today to look around us through God's eyes and see the blessings that he has already poured out on us and start walking in them for his purpose! May God reach out and bless you today!

Bro. TD Jakes' sermon was called "Pass The Bread'....for those who want to look it up....it was great!

Prayer Request: Please pray for a friend of ours, a young lady who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has two small children and needs a touch from God.

Stand!!!!!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Imagine....your in the front line... you have been taking attack from Satan all day long... you are down on one knee....he continues to pound a way at you, not to kill you but to take you out of God's battle. But you begin to pray...tears began to fall... God I can't take anymore, you cry out! All of a sudden the reinforcements come.....The Angels surround you and lift you up to safety. There will be days when we feel as if we cannot take anymore of the Devil's attack. We are so weak that we can't even pray...we begin to slip back....we are falling back....we are slipping........grab ahold of anything....begin to call out to God.....read the word....listen to uplifting music.....just because your down doesn't mean your out!!! Come on don't give in... you can do this! God is on our side! "When you have done all to stand, stand.....
We can make it....We can Stand!
Be Blessed Today!

Eph 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

The Sun Is Just Behind The Clouds!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Sometimes you can't see the sun for the clouds....but it's still there. When moments of dispair seem to be enveloping you and you really can't see God moving for the problems your facing.....remember... the clouds will move and the sun will shine..... the problems will go away and God will prevail. Have a very blessed day and remember God Loves You!!!

God's Special Assignments!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I think it is safe to say that we are God's "army" here on earth. So with that in mind....imagine Him or his General....One of his Angels... giving us our assignments for today. "Okay, gather up everyone, this in an important day....Jesus is getting ready to come back to Earth. There is a lot to be done in order for this to take place. Namely, people to be won to God's Kingdom and here is what Jesus would like for you to do. 1. Go out and Love someone today and when they ask you how you can be so happy, tell them about Jesus and how he can change their lives too and make them happy. 2. Help someone today that is in need, and when they ask why you helped them, give them a wonderful picture of Jesus and how he helps you everyday. 3. Pray for someone today that they will come to know the salvation of God and know that it is only through salvation that we can overcome! Okay, go out and treat people the way you want to be treated, and remember these are but a few things you can do to win souls to God's kingdom". This may seem a little funny to you....but we are God's chosen people and we are each given assignments in our daily walk with God. If we can but reach out and do even just these few things, we would be amazed at what God will do. He said if we will take one step, he will take two! May we reach out today and each accomplish our assignments! God is in the Blessing Business!

God Loves Us!!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Sometimes in our haste to do the right thing, we become tangled up with anxiety over the fear that we are getting it all wrong, or continually making mistakes, "why is this happening"? sort of mentality. Well, sometimes even the simplest of things, we can make hard for ourselves. God is the God of Love. And just like our parents, he loves us no matter what. He made us so he knows that with our human flesh and because of the sin in the Garden we will make mistakes. And knowing this he loves us just the same and waits for us to just ask his forgiveness. The reason I am writing about this, this morning, is that I was impressed that we are making our walk with God a little too hard. I don't mean that we need to slack off and be lacksy daisy about it... not at all. But we tend to put pressure on ourselves where it shouldn't be. God looks at the heart of man. He knows your heart and waits for you to begin to know it too and to follow it. Our heart is the one constant in our lives... Our heart is what exudes who and what we are. Through our heart we love, through our heart we are sympathetic, and have empathy for others. Through our heart we give whether it be our time, money or goods. Through our heart we see the potential of others and we reach out to help them find their way. Look inside your heart today...what do you see? No, don't look at the flaws.....but look at the real you! Who are you really? Find your heart, don't be so hard on yourselves....God Loves us today and wants us to succeed!

I hope this makes sense!
Be Blessed!

God Has Been Good To Me!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! This morning feels slow and peaceful! Maybe the going with the flow has helped. :)
Psa 116:7
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

I don't know about you today...but the Lord has been good to me. When I wake up in the morning, he has been good. When I see my children all snug and safe in their beds...he has been good. When I sit down to eat... he has been good. When I can pay my bills...he has been good. When I can put gas in my car....he has been good. When I have friends and family who love me... .he has been good. When I have warm water to bathe... .he has been good. When I have clothes to wear... he has been good. When I have a wonderful safe and clean home to live in.... he has been good. When I have my health... he has been good. If we can but look around, we can surely see just how Good God Is! May you see the blessings that you possess, and may God bless you with more!

It's God Time!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I was watching one of my programs this morning and Joyce was discussing how not to give up because our "Break through" is around the corner. Immediately I thought in my mind, "well my break through better hurry because I am wasting time".....then a voice spoke right after that and said, "it's my time and you are not wasting it". Well, let me tell you.... that got my attention. It's not my time! I am on God's time....so why am I so in a hurry?! He knows when we are to be born and when we are to die....so why do we worry about when things are supposed to happen? We don't have the control anyway. So, I said, "God I will flow with whatever time frame you have.....I will not worry about when things are happening.... I feel better accepting that. So, if you are like me today and feel that you are running out of time... don't .......He is in control and he is taking care of it.....so relax! May the Lord Bless You all today!

Reach For His Hand!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Though I stumble and fall, yet will I continue to rise up through your strength and mercy O'Lord. Like a baby just trying to walk or a person who has just lost their sight. The beginning is rough and hard, there are scrapes and bruises. But I know that eventually I will be able to do it only reaching for your hand when I need it. Bless us oh Lord today, that we may be able to get back up when we fall, to continue although the way seems dark. To reach for your hand that is always there for us!
Blessings!

There Are No Accidents!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Let's examine the thought "there are no accidents". If this is true and by the way I am becoming a believer...then we must deduce that all things happen for a reason. If we can accept the now as it is, not trying to manipulate it or control it....but peacfully accepting, would we find it much easier to move throughout the messes and the troubles and the grief? Would it be easier to bear? This would mean, however, that we trust that whatever makes up our today is the very foundation that will carry us into tomorrow and the days beyond. That every moment we are living in is what it should be. We can "choose" to accept today knowing that there is a reason for it and "BELIEVE" (because when we believe, anything is possible) that all is well! Thereby creating much happier, more at peace moments in our life! May we all find the peace and happiness we are searching for! Be Blessed!

God Knows Our Hearts!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!
Psa 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: God does know our
hearts...but sometimes he puts us in situations so that we may know our hearts. It is one thing to say you will do something if "You were in a situation", and quite another to actually do it if you are. It is when we experience adversity that we really know what we are made of. Sometimes we surprise ourselves with what we can actually handle. You may react differently in a trauma situation then you ever realized that you would. So be encouraged that the next time you feel that you are going through a trial....it is just to get you better acquainted with yourself. God wants us to reveal in ourselves what he already knows, and if we ask, he will help us to do just that.
Be Blessed and know you are Loved!

Living With Conviction!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I was struck by something Pastor Wayne said last night about Conviction. Thus today's thought is Living With Conviction! Webster's says conviction means: 3 a: a strong persuasion or belief b: the state of being convinced. So many times without knowing it we are walking advertisements for certain products... If we have used it and it worked for us, we are excited to tell others about it. We are convinced of it's affectiveness and want to share it. But what about the most important thing in our lives that we have, Jesus! How convinced are we about his saving Grace, His Healing Power, His Love, His Forgiveness, His Mercy, that we are sharing him convincingly with others? Are we living our lives with conviction, so much so that people ask us (what are you taking?, Are you working out? You look so happy!) .....can they tell that we have the most wonderful spirit living on the inside of us? I don't know that I always live my life with conviction....but I want to! May we all begin to Live A Convincing Life! May we share Our Most Wonderful Lord with all of our friends, coworkers, family and strangers on the street!
Be Blessed Today!!!

Beyond The Desert Experience!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Beyond the Desert Experience! Yesterday I talked about when we are in the valley or the desert....how we can keep walking knowing that God is with us and he is birthing things in us through our trials. Jesus was tempted in the Desert by Satan, but when he came out after 40 days, he began to do wondrous things! Read Luke 4. The desert experience is really rough, but we can't give up too soon! Our tendency is to quit because it feels so heavy and we wonder where God has gone. But just think if we can hold on and just keep walking in faith, it will be alright....we can have a Beyond the Desert Experience! Because of what we went through we can now help someone else to get through it. We now know what it takes to overcome something! When we come out of the Desert or Valley we begin to experience victory! It feels so good to know that we have overcome temptation and that now God can use us even more than before! We should be thankful for the Desert and Valley experiences because that is what builds our character and gets us ready for the next phase in our walk with God! I pray for each of us today that we will remain steadfast in the Lord and that no matter how tough the Desert or Valley gets that we will stick it out and be overcomers in Christ Jesus!

I had two people yesterday who spoke with me about this subject...one who had not even read the Christian Peeps! I know that God wants us to know that he loves us and we are overcomers through Him!
Be Blessed Overcomers Today!

I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Sometimes we feel we are in the desert when we are really only in a valley. Those moments when you pray but you don't feel anything....your prayer feels like it just doesn't get as far as the ceiling. You haven't given up and you haven't turned around but yet you still feel as if something is missing. You feel alone and empty. Those moments may last only a week or two (which is the valley) or they may last months or a year (this is the desert). But whether you are in a valley situation or a desert experience God is always a whisper away. I like to use whisper because sometimes you are so thirsty that's all you can do. I believe that we have these experiences so that we know who God really is for us. If we never experienced pain we would not need to ask for healing, if we never experienced depression, we would not need to cry out for deliverance. If we never experienced loss, we would never cry out to God for strength. We are given valleys and deserts to encourage us to rely more on God. To know that he can supply our needs just when we need it. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.....he is always right there....he just wants us to know that whenever we need him all we have to do is call out to him.... Today, if you are experiencing a valley or a desert... I encourage you to call out to God, and keep walking, don't give up for he is already there!

Many Blessings today!

.....................I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

May!

Good Afternoon Christian Peeps! What wonderful warmth I finally feel!!! I hope this stays for a long time!

May the Sun that our God created Shine down on us today,
May the Wind that he created touch us in a special way.

May the ground we walk on be blessed with every step,
May the people we love fill our hearts to the depth.

May we always look to Him for all our many needs,
May we know that He's the one that plants the seeds.

May we always be Thankful and feel his precious love
May we safely rest down here until we ascend above.

Many Blessing Today! Theressa

Too Legit Too Quit!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! "Too Legit Too Quit". This was a song put out by M.C. Hammer...maybe you remember it. But this morning it came to me...with the next thought being God is too legit for us to Quit! We are his legitimate heirs. We are his children and are therefore in line to recieve his benefits. We are so legit that no one not even Satan can take any of God's blessings away from us unless we allow it. When you are a legitimate child of the King you are entitled to everything that the King owns. Today we are his legitimate children and we are entitled to everything God has. So whatever we are going through today, whatever we desire......we can't give up, we can't quit....because our God is too Legit for us to Quit!
Be Blessed!

Mercy and Grace!

Good Afternoon Christian Peeps! Sorry this morning has been full up to the brim. Through Mercy we are covered, Through Grace we are made whole. When we are walking through life and we fall... Mercy is what picks us up, dust us off and covers like a bandaid whatever hurts. Grace goes hand in hand with Mercy, it is the balm that soothes the hurt and starts the healing process. May God's Mercy and Grace be with us all today!
Blessings!

Trust In God, Our Safety Net!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Everytime a plane takes to the sky, the pilot must trust that all is well with his equipment. Hoping that nothing has been miscalculated, for if it has and the plane falls from the sky....there is nothing to break the fall. By the same token, when we take flight in whatever we set out to do, we have the assurance that God will catch us if we fall and bear us to safety. So, how much more should we trust than the pilots, knowing that we have that assurance and that safety net. God wants us to trust in him today that no matter what we try, no matter how many times we fail....he will gently reach down, catch us and set us back to safer ground. We don't have to be afraid. It's better to try and fail than to not have tried at all.
God's Blessings Today!--
2Sa 22:3
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

"I Am That I Am"

Good Morning Christian Peeps! It's amazing how a little english placement can change our lives. If we ever wondered in what verb tense we should live our lives, we only have to look in the scriptures to see how God lived it. God proclaimed himself in the present tense. He did not say "I will be the I Am", nor did he say, "I was the I Am". But he said I Am the Great I Am, present tense. God spoke to Moses and said "I AM THAT I AM", he could have said "that shalt say unto the children of Isreal, the Lord hath sent me...but instead he said, Tell them I Am hath sent you! Because God is in the present, so are we. He spoke the world into existence by speaking in the now. All throughout the Bible he was always in the present tense. We must proclaim our promises in the present tense... we must say.... I am Healed, I am Blessed, I am Saved, I am Successful, I Am ____________ whatever you need. Speak it in the now and watch what God will do. By keeping it in the past...."You Used To Believe".....By putting it in the future..."You Want To Believe". Believe today, proclaim I am a Child of God and watch God provide the Harvest.
Be Blessed!

Exd 3:14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
