Good Morning Christian Peeps! Okay, so "letting go" is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Why does it seem so hard sometimes to just let go...to trust that everything will work out? We seem to be creatures of control, believing that somehow if we are in control that things will magically work out better. However, we have been proven wrong over and over again. The Bible tells us in Matthew 10:39, " He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it". I take this to literally mean turn my life over to God. Lose it to him and he will work everything out. Romans 8:28 tells us, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." So if we will trust God and turn our lives over to him, he will work everything to our good. It's so simple but so hard. My prayer today is this: Dear Heavenly, wonderful Father, help me to surrender to you my life. Help me to recognize that you wish to take my life and work it to my good. Please Father, help me to let it all go unto you, trust, and allow the peace that only you can give into my life. Thank you! Be Blessed!

When Letting Go Seems So Hard...

Leading By Example, Not Just Words....
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Being a leader or a role model means leading by example. We can't teach or show someone something that we ourselves are not doing. Most people do not hear what we are saying but they are certainly seeing what we are doing. It's important that we live by example. To our children, to our friends, co-workers and even our lay members. There are teaching moments when just what we are doing tells a lot about ourselves. Sometimes we think we are misunderstood but the reality is we are more understood than we know and what we are showing people are our true selves. So with that being said, sometimes we have to step back and ask ourselves some questions before we try to tell others what they should be doing. Such as: 1. What are my motives? 2. Am I being led by emotions? 3. What is the outcome I am wanting/expecting? If the answer to these questions revolve around me than maybe it's time to search within to see what is missing that I feel the need to project onto others. When we lead by example the need for words are much less than we think. Love can lead where words cannot. Maybe it's time to stop talking and start doing.....leading with love by example. Be Blessed!

It's Time To Fly!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! We are sitting on the runway and have been for some time. We have been cleared for take off but we can't get the courage to push the throttle forward. What happens if I can't get off the ground? What happens if I fail? What happens if when I get to my destination it wasn't what I thought? The questions and the fear are the only things holding us back. We have been given opportunity after opportunity to fly but we sit there waiting.... others have taken their chance and are moving around us to take flight. Consider that everything thing has been checked, we have been given everything we need to succeed, all we have to do is take that first step and amazing things can flood our lives. What are we waiting for today? What is it that is keeping us grounded? It's time to take our place in the sky and fly. Be Blessed!

Integrity Is Our Inner Compass!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! "Integrity is the inner compass by which we are guided throughout our life". tr When we can remain true to our inner compass we can reach all manner of heights in our lives. When we can navigate with steadfastness, then we can achieve everything that we want and need. No amount of wealth or fame should replace our integrity for without integrity we lose our compass and will turn about in circles never really knowing which direction we should be pointed. To know without a doubt our path, is to point our integrity due north and proceed with character and humility. Be Blessed!

We Can Be Free!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let ourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." It is hard to let go of hurt. It is hard to forgive when you have been wronged. It is hard to move forward when something traumatic happened in your life and seems to continually pull on you. But! Christ died that we might be free! He does not want us to be in slavery to the things that have happened to us. Today he wants to make us free from our past. Today he wants to help us forgive those who hurt us once and for all. He wants us to let it go completely so that we might live free. So that his dying was not in vain. Dear Lord, please help us to break those chains that bind us from our past. Chains that steal our joy and victory. Help us to recognize that it is Satan who would like to keep us bound so that we cannot have not have the freedom you promised. We speak love into those hidden places that still hurt and we ask that your light of forgiveness come and take it all away forever! In Jesus name! Amen! Be Blessed!

Departures....
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Everyone arrives at their destination at different times. The timing depends on several factors: where did we depart from, what time did we leave, what mode of travel did we use and so on. We must understand that most of the time we cannot control delays in our schedules or unforeseen events. This is also true when we are called out of this world. Only God knows the time that we are to depart. That's why we are encouraged to live life today, this moment, with everything we have. It's so important not to let opportunities slip by us. That chance to say I love you before leaving home. That chance to spend a moment just talking to someone or asking someone to lunch that you haven't seen in a while. I believe we are prompted to do things that allow us to say goodbye and we may not be aware of it until it is over. I was given a chance to take my Aunt Sue out to lunch and spend a fun day with her a week before she was gone. We never know when we or someone we love may have reach their destination until it's too late. Take a moment today to connect with loved ones, with friends and family. Be Blessed!

The Ultimate Love Challenge!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Today is Valentine's day and with it comes the Ultimate Love Challenge. How many of us today can determine in our hearts to practice the love scripture in the Bible, I Corinthians 13:4-8. When we become love like God describes love then it changes everything about us, around us and in us! Changing anything in our lives begins with love... period. Be Blessed!

Love Can Build A Bridge!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Sometimes we may feel that there is a great divide between us and family, friends, spouses, or even God. We may wonder if we can ever patch it up and save those relationships. Well, the Bible says in Proverbs 10:12 that "Hatred stirs up strife: but love covers all sins". We can build back those bridges that have been burned. It just takes love to do it. At some point we have to lay down our pride or whatever it is and just begin to build the bridge of love. Life is too short to let past emotions and past hurts get in the way. Let's build a bridge of love today on this eve of Valentine. In the words of the song, "Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine. Love can build a bridge, don't you think it's time. Don't you think it's time." Be Blessed!

Make That Change!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! It is time to quit talking about change and actually make that change. Every morning we have the wonderful opportunity to start over! We can decide that day not only what the day will be like but we can decide from the moment our feet hit the floor that things will be different. The only thing we have to do after we make the decision is to take the action steps to go with it. I can remember when raising my children that there were times I had to make a change. That change never came until I was just tired and done. But when I reached that point, then I was ready to make the commitment that required change. One of those was when I was trying to take the pacifier from Allie. It was so frustrating that I would take it away but then at the first bad day or crying jag I would give in and give it back. This went on for a while because my child was addicted to pacifiers. She was three and I knew it was for the best but I was lazy and just not ready to make the commitment. Finally that day came. I was so tired of the back and forth that I just made the choice and stuck with it. It was hard....I got discouraged but I was determined that I would not back track again. Our life is that way. We know we need to make the change but we just can't seem to make the commitment it requires. Well, if you are like me and tired of not having the life that you desire...then come on...make the change. Grab that commitment and go! It's time! Be Blessed!

Try All The Doors, See Which Ones Open!
Good Morning Christian Peeps! If we do not take chances in life then how will we know if we have missed out on something? All my life I have heard, 'Well if it's God's will, then it will happen." But I didn't realize that if you just sit around waiting on God's will it might pass you by without you even knowing. He doesn't always knock on our door and let us know exactly what the plan is, mainly because of Free will, but we can try things to see if they are of God. I believe that we should try all of the doors. Knock on them, shake them, see if the knob will turn. I envision running through hallways, just trying door knobs to see if they will open. It's gets me excited. Some people wonder why I am always competing or just trying new things...well it's because I do not want to miss out on an opportunity. If the door is locked I just move on to the next. But I would rather be trying than sitting around. May this speak to someone today. It's time to try all the doors in our life until we get that one that is open for us. Be Blessed!

GPS....God's Positioning System
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Heard a message last night about GPS. God's Positioning System. Pastor Madeau brought out that the GPS system in our car only gives us one direction at a time. If it gave us all the directions at once we wouldn't be able to obtain where we were going. God's Positioning system is the same way. He only gives us which direction we need next to get where we are going. If He gave it to us all at once we couldn't handle it. Also, as long as we obey the GPS system in our car, more than likely it can get us where we need to go. But how many times have we felt that we knew better than the GPS and wound up lost. And the whole time it kept trying to re-route us. Well, that is how God's Positioning System works as well. As long as we listen to God's commands and take one direction at a time we can arrive at the purpose and anointing that God has for us. Even when we take wrong turns, God continuously re-routes us back to his original plan. I am so thankful today that God re-routes us and gets us back on track. Be Blessed!

Turn It Over....
Good Morning Christian Peeps! As Wayne Dyer says, "If we knew who walked beside us all the times, on the path that we have chosen, we could never experience fear or doubt again." It's when we recognize that the God in us and the one who walks with us everyday is our everything. He can answer any prayer and make a way when it seems there is no way. He can carve a path for us where a moment ago a path didn't exist. He can rescue us in a moment out of harm's way. He probably does that more than we know. But we tie up his hands and make it impossible for him to do those things when we doubt that he can. When we worry and have fear, we are basically saying that we do not believe that he is capable of taking care of us. But when we can release all fear, all doubt, all worry and just give it to him, then and only then can we experience the peace that passes all understanding. It covers us so completely and we know everything is okay. Let today be the day that we just release everything to him. Let our hearts be glad that no matter what comes our way our God has it all taken care of. Be Blessed!

Love Is More Precious Than Bread....
Good Morning Christian Peeps! Mother Teresa said, "The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread." There are so many people who are without someone to love them. They walk among us, lonely, tired and without someone to care if they live or die. God encourages us to love one another as we love ourselves. Everyday we should be looking for those who do not have love in their lives. We should ask our Father to direct us to those who need love in their lives so that we might provide it for them. Showing love changes us and changes them. If love can cover a multitude of sins, imagine what it can do for those who cry themselves to sleep at night wishing for someone to love them. It's time that we stir up God's love within us and go ye therefore into the world shining God's light and delivering his love. Be Blessed!

Love Is Like A Band Aid...
Good Morning Christian Peeps! February is heart month and all month long we are offering information on how to take care of our hearts here at the hospital. I found this quote and thought it very appropriate. "A caring heart that listens is often more valuable than an intelligent mind that talks." I have found that most of the time, people just need someone to listen with a caring heart. Deep down they already know the answer but they just need someone to listen to them. Some are not seeking answers as we might first believe they just want someone to listen to what they have to say and care that they feel the way that they do, right or wrong. When we listen with love then we do not have to fix them, or change them or direct them, we can just love them. Love is so powerful is shows us the way. It leads us without us even knowing. It can change us when we are not expecting change. And it can direct us when we are in a state of confusion. Love is like a band aid when applied heals all that hurts. Be Blessed!
