His Grace Is A Gift To Us!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  I love this scripture: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  I know we have heard this possibly many times.  But let it sink in today.  We are saved by his grace through our faith.  It's not something we can earn.  When we need forgiveness, it is extended.  When we feel lost and have stepped away from God, it is extended.  His grace is sufficient for all our needs.  Let his grace cover us today.  Let his grace save us....it is a gift from God.  Be Blessed!

Keep The New Year Simple~

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  In going forward for this new year, let's strive to simplify our lives.  Not just in how we live but in how we think.  Allan Chalmers said, "The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."  Let's take that to heart.  Sometimes we make our lives more stressful then it needs to be.  Sometimes we over analyze to the point of exhaustion.  Just remember God is in control and wherever we are today is where we need to be.  Embrace each day where we are, allow God to work through us.  Look for opportunities to bless people and let God bless us!  Be Blessed!

God Is Not Our Genie..

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  Sometimes even in the midst of a crowd we feel alone.  But God is there.  Even in situations when we feel that he has left us, He is there.   He is there even when it seems we can't pay our bills.  He is there when we feel so sick we can't lift our heads.  He is there when it seems everyone has turned against us.  He is not our wishing well however, nor our Genie.  He does not appear on demand or create circles of magic for our wish list.  But He is there working behind the scenes creating learning lessons.  Taking us through the bad so we know not to go down that road again.  Letting us live out our pain so we understand where our help comes from.  Allowing situations for growth but always, always working to our good.  Just because we can't see the end of the journey doesn't mean we won't get there eventually.  Be Blessed!

God Is Our Hope!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  Yesterday I heard of at least two young people who committed suicide in our area just recently. I'm talking 8th grade on down.   That number seems to be growing.  We have to ask ourselves, as children of God are we demonstrating the hope that is in our Lord Jesus.  People are losing hope and because they do not know our Lord and Savior they are checking out.  God is our hope!  We need to shout it to this lost and dying world.  Without Him there is no hope!  I love verse 5:  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  Please pray for hope for our world and our people, especially our young people.  Be Blessed!

Romans: 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

He Binds Up our Wounds!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! -- Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Author unknown.  In light of the tragedy in Connecticut the only comfort that is found is in God's word.  Below are a few scriptures to soothe our troubled hearts.  Be Blessed!

Psalm 34:18 – The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. New Living Translation
Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil .for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
Psalms 147:3 – He heals the broken heartened, binding up their wounds.
Matthew 5:4 – Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Whatever Tomorrow Brings.....

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  If we knew what was going to transpire tomorrow no doubt we would prepare.  If we knew what sickness we would incur we would certainly do all we could to avoid it.  But we don't.  Simple as that.  We as humans do not know what tomorrow holds.  We do not know which things that may seem bad for us might just make things better in the long run.  The only person who knows is God.  Only God knows what we will go through in the future and only He knows how it will end and when it will end.  With trust we give every situation every day to Him.  In his word it says that he works everything to our good.  So although it may seem bad today in the future it could be for our good.  It's about turning loose, letting go of the imaginary reigns and letting God lead us wherever we need to go!  Be Blessed!

Are We Participating With Purpose?

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  How are we running our race?  How are we doing our job?  How are we rearing our children?  How are we living our lives?  It's a question not many of us want to face.  1 Corinthians Chapter 9 talks about running the race so as to win the prize....not aimlessly.  Sometimes I find myself half doing something, just need to get through the day.  Just doing enough to get by....but what happens is spills over into everything that we do and we find ourselves hardly doing anything with purpose.  Let's not lose that winning spirit.  Let's not let ourselves get tired of the race.  Let's breathe new life into everything that we do!  It's time to run with purpose, it's time to parent with purpose and it's time to love with purpose.  Let everything we do be the very best!  Be Blessed!

-- "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” – 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Love Came Down at Christmas!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  The one thing that was given to us that one beautiful Christmas morning was the birth of a savior but more than that it was the birth of a love like no other.   If only we could just let go of the stress of gift giving and focus on our love for one another, I believe that gifts as we know it would change.  It's not about finding that perfect gift but the everlasting gift.  Give the gift of love this Christmas season.  Give love in all the ways possible.  Take the time to find out what people really need and try to fill that need rather than purchasing something that we are not even sure they can use or even like.  Christmas has always been and always will be about LOVE!  Be Blessed!

LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS
Love came down at Christmas,
it came so Holy and bright,
to give us someone special,
a wondrous glorious light.
Love came down at Christmas,
to embrace us everyday
to show us true meaning
for now and always
Love came down at Christmas
not for gifts to behold
but so the love he gave us
could forever be told.

The View from Above is Quite Different!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  I was reminded last night that God sees us and our problems much differently than we do.  We are in the midst of the problem walking around so of course it will look and feel big to us.  But think about this for a minute.  When we are walking through skyscrapers they seem giant as well because we are standing next to them but what do they look like when we are in a plane flying overhead?  They are quite small.  Well, the next time your problem seems too large, remember God sees it from above and for Him it looks small.  There is nothing too hard for God!  There is nothing too big for God!  Let's take our huge problems and give them to Him.  Quit looking at how big they seem and look at them from God's point of view.  We have a great big God!!!  Be Blessed!

Is Our Grace To Ourselves Sufficient?

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  We know that our friends, family, and children are all flawed, but like God, we look beyond their faults  to their needs.  We love them regardless of their imperfections.  Why then do we have such a hard time giving ourselves that same grace that we extend to other?.  Why do we believe that we are less deserving of that grace?  When we begin to treat ourselves and love ourselves as we love others, imagine the difference that will be made in our lives and those around us.  God loves us and forgives us, that should be enough!  Be Blessed!

Why We Try Too Hard!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  For those of us who have been trying to make something happen in our lives, it bears worth looking at why we might be trying too hard.  I found these online and give Gwen Teatro the credit.  It's a little long but it just might free us up from a lot of pressure that we have been under.  Not only does she give us the 5 ways we try too hard but she gives some insight in how to stop the madness.  I hope this helps!  Be blessed!

-- To be Popular
I think everyone, to a greater or lesser extent, likes to be liked.  But, trying too hard to be popular gets in the way of our ability to make tough decisions and to lead in a judicious way.  In my experience, people respect and respond well to those leaders who are fair much more than those who focus on being popular.
To be Perfect
Those who strive for perfection can also have a tendency to micro-manage everything to death to avoid making any mistakes.  Of course the trouble is that, in so doing, they manage to annoy most everyone who works with them, or for them.  While it is admirable to want to do things well, it is not possible to get everything right all of the time.  It’s just not.
To be All-Knowing & All-wise
Leadership does not come with all the answers.  It’s too bad, but there it is.  If we try too hard to create the impression that we are the font of all knowledge, we are bound to disappoint.
To be Strong
To some people, a leader should always be strong and impervious to theproblems and worries that afflict other mortals.  While it is true that leadership asks us to bring our courage to work, it does not mean that we cannot share our concerns with others.  As individuals, trying too hard to be strong, places a great and unnecessary burden on us.  As leaders, it also excludes the possibility that others are willing and quite capable of helping.
1.    Know and Accept ourselves, warts ‘n all
I think having a good handle on what we’re good at and what we’re not good at, is a place to start.  It doesn’t mean that we should stop learning, growing and improving…not at all.  But having a certain confidence about who and how we are, somehow gives us permission to take the focus off ourselves and onto others without having to try so hard.
2.    Embrace the Imperfect
I struggle with this one all the time but I keep working on it because when I strive for perfection, I invariably achieve only frustration.
3.    Look and Listen More… Talk Less
I think, when we try too hard, there is a tendency to talk far too much.  Whatever the reason for this, while we are doing it, we are undoubtedly missing the opportunity to observe and listen to others. Incorporating the thoughts and ideas of others takes the pressure off us to have the right answers all of the time.
4.    Dare to be Vulnerable
This is about allowing our humanness to come through and striving to place more value on the giving and receiving of empathy.  I think human beings are stronger when they allow each other a glimpse into what matters to them. Trying too hard to be strong and stand apart from the rest leads not to strength but to isolation
5.    Lighten Up
Sometimes you just have to laugh.  When we’re trying too hard, it’s entirely possible that we’re also being way too serious about it all. Laughing at ourselves can take the pressure and worry out of most situations.  So, wherever you go, take your sense of humour with you.  It will serve you well.

Out With The Old...

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  We can take what we learned yesterday and apply it to today and tomorrow, but we cannot use what we have learned today to correct yesterday.  Things are continually changing.  We cannot keep using old methods in a new and changing world.  Change is not always fun but it is a necessity.  Without change we become stagnant, we lose ground, we become frustrated and lose hope.  Maybe we are holding onto to old ways trying to create a new future.  We must let go of the old in order to receive the new.  As the Bible says you can't put new wine in old wine skins.  So today, we release the old and we embrace the new.  Today we accept the change that is needed to create a new and brighter future.  Be Blessed!

What Do We Want?

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  "This is the way of peace: overcome evil with good, and falsehood with truth, and hatred with love."Peace Pilgrim     We must be the change.   By choosing good instead of evil we change the atmosphere in which we live.  When we live by truth, we are set free from worry and anxiety.  And when we love, we bring love and everything good into our lives.  We have the choice to change the world we live in.  To make a difference wherever we go.  When we change our little space, then our space begins to get bigger and bigger.  Good attracts good.  Peace attracts peace and love certainly attracts love.  It's all about what we want in our lives.  Be Blessed!

May We......

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  May our mountain top views out weigh the lonesome valleys.  May our desert experience, cause our meadows to overflow.  May our pain be the beginning of understanding and may all the beauty in the world fill our void.  May our Father in Heaven become just that to us everyday.  May our children see the good that we do and emulate it in their lives.  May each and every person we meet become the object of love for us.  May we forget the past and make the future amazing.  May we take each moment as we do each breath.  May every heartache become lessons and every lesson a new and improved journey.  May our emotions lead us to communication as if our lives depended on it.  May we be the change that we so desperately crave.  Be Blessed!

One Chance To Be Ourselves!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  Being authentic is the ability to be true to oneself. Living an authentic life requires the ability to be true to our own wants, needs and desires and not live our lives by the opinion of others. Being authentic is the ability to make self-honoring choices and stand firmly in who we are in our core. Being true to ourselves gives us the insight and compassion to see others for who they are, not who we expect them to be. It frees us up from the judgment of ourselves and others and it gives others the freedom to be themselves as well. ~ Victoria J. Reynolds

It's important that the life we are living is our own.  We do not get another chance to be ourselves, this is it.  Be Blessed!

Less of Me and More of Others!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  So I am thinking over what to write this morning and all of a sudden this thought came to mind.  "If you are looking for happiness or fulfillment outside yourself you are looking in the wrong place".  Now I know first off that it was for me....because I tend to look for happiness through outside sources......so today we look inward for the things we need and probably quit putting pressure on others to make us happy.  God supplies all of our needs including fixing those things that cause us unhappiness.  So today, once again I go to God and say, "Dear Lord, help me find the source of my unhappiness and change it.  Help me to look to you instead of to others.  Help me to think about my problems less and to think of other people's problems more.  This Thanksgiving season let there be more thankfulness in my heart then ever before."  Amen!  Be Blessed!

Gratitude is a Be-attitude!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  John Fitzgerald Kennedy said, As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.  This Thanksgiving season, lets not just say we are thankful but let's show just how thankful we are.  Let's step out of our comfort zone and reach out to those we have only thought of touching before.  This season, let's not put limitations on ourselves and our God.  Let's believe for a miracle for those around us who need guidance, hope and most especially love!  We are on a journey that is fueled by love and love alone.  If we cannot love those whom we have seen, how can we love our Father whom we have not seen.  Be Blessed!

What Is True Happiness?

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  So many times we wonder what it would truly take to make us happy.  I grant you that it is much simpler than we can imagine.  Try this exercise.....imagine that layers were taken away from us.  Suppose we lost our job, but we still had our health, would we be happy?  What if we lost our home but still had our children?  Would we be happy?  Happiness is not in the things that we possess, but in who we are.  We only know how much pressure we can take when we are put to the test, so it only makes sense that we only know how happy we are when we have nothing but ourselves.  Are we happy with who we are?  In order to find our true happiness we have to know that if everything material were taken away could we be happy with what is left. Do we like the person who is left standing?  If not then changing who we are may be our first priority.    If so?  Then that is the answer to true happiness.  Maybe it's time to explore our true happiness and see where we are.... Be Blessed!

The Desires Of Our Hearts!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  The Bible says that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, he will give us the desires of our heart. May I submit an idea today, because I have been thinking about this a lot.  Everyone knows that I have pursued a career in the music industry for years.  So I questioned God that since I do delight in Him, why then was the desire of my heart not seeming to be fulfilled.  Well, the answer surprised me.  He impressed me that the desire for the music industry was outweighed by my desire to have the opportunity to rear my children with my morals, and my beliefs rather than letting anyone else rear them.  It was a huge AHA moment for me.  I did ask God to allow me to be able to do that....that is a strong desire for me!!  And thanks to him I have been able to just that!  So, even though what I thought was my desire and it is, it just wasn't as strong as the other desire.  So take heart today, that maybe the reason we haven't seen a particular desire come through, could simply mean we have other desires that are more important to us right now and we just didn't think about them that way.  God has not forgotten, he is fulfilling our desires just according to order of importance!  Be Blessed!

-- Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

It's Time To Fly!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I love this!! Had to share! “I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.” C. JoyBell C.

Trust is spreading our wings and preparing for flight, God has the flight plan already filed.....so now we just get ready to fly! Since God controls the wind.....wherever it blows us is where he wants us to be!! Be Blessed!

Our Words Give Life or Death!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  I was watching Oprah's life class last night with Pastor Joel Osteen.  His quote was "Whatever follows "I Am" will come looking for you".  That is so true.  So many times we say words like "I am stupid, I am broke, I am not intelligent, I am overweight, etc.  According to Proverbs 18:21, our words give life, so every time we say words like that we are calling it our destiny.  Every time we use those negative words to describe ourselves, we are confirming who we are, but when we put God's words behind I Am instead, we begin to manifest our true calling, our true anointing  who God says we really are.  Let's give life to who God says we are.  Every time we want to say a negative word or sentence about ourselves, STOP, and change it to something positive, something that God would say about us!  Be Blessed!

-- 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21

Seasons Come And Go!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Some days we may feel like the mouse caught on the never ending wheel. Our Groundhog day comes every morning, the same thing over and over again. What does it all mean. Well, just like seasons our lives change and move in and out, up and down. There are seasons when our leaves are in abundance, the sun is shining and all seems right with the world. Then winter comes, we can't seem to find enough leaves, the sun is hiding and it's a struggle to get through. But the one denominator that is there through all the seasons is the creator of the seasons. He never leaves nor does he forsake. Through the abundant leaves to the scarce leaves, our God is there. Ever present help in the time of trouble. Today, when we feel like giving up, hold on....because this season is almost over and another one is right around the corner. Who knows what God has in store for us in the next season. Be Blessed!

Renewing Our Minds!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Just as repent means to turn and walk in a new direction, so renew means to make new again. Our mind is the leader for how we conduct everything in our lives. We have all experienced certain mindsets...some good, some bad. But just as with any habit...the more we do it the easier it becomes. So with differenct situations comes different thinking. It's up to us to recognize what we are thinking about and manage it. If it is good and serves us in a positive way then we accept it, if not then we discard it. Part of that renewing is thinking on the good things, the desirable things, the good things, God's will. The greatest part of the renewing process is we have complete control. If we are thinking bad thoughts it's because we and we alone decide to let those thoughts continue. But with constant managing and renewing it is possible to change our thought patterns and create more joy and peace in our lives. May the Lord bless each of us with a renewing and the strength to continue that process everyday. Be Blessed!

And you must not fall in with the manners of this world; there must be an inward change, a remaking of your minds, so that you can satisfy yourselves what is God’s will, the good thing, the desirable thing, the perfect thing. Romans 12:2 (Knox)

Seek Ye First His Kingdom.

Good Morning Christian Peeps! As Mother Teresa put it below....if we spend more time raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding and peace. Money will come. If we seek first the Kingdom of God - the rest will be given. The tighter we hold onto something the more likely it is to slip from our fingers. We have to be open to blessings. We can't be afraid of poverty or we will get poverty. We must seek God's kingdom and everything else will be added to us.

God's kingdom is doing for others, loving others, showing kindness and understanding. Being peace for a world who can't find any. We don't have to worry, we don't have to fret. God is There! Be Blessed!

--

Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God - the rest will be given.

Mother Teresa

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

We Are Sheltered In His Arms...

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I woke up this morning with this song on my mind. We have all been in circumstances that just seem out of control. We have experienced loss of a loved one or sickness that ravages the body. Our world now feels out of control and all around us there is uncertainty. But this morning I encourage all of us to know that no matter if the stroms rage high, the dark clouds rise they don't have to bother us for we are sheltered in the arms of God. He walks with us, and nothing on this earth shall harm us. We are sheltered in his arms. Let our Lord embrace us this morning through our sadness, our grief, our hopelessness, through all of our circumstances, just know that we are sheltered in his arms! Be Blessed!

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender.

They're leading me in the paths that I must trod.

I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

So let the storm clouds rage high,

The dark clouds rise,

They don't bother me;

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

He walks with me,

And naught of earth shall harm me,

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven's portals

Come home my child,

It's the last mile you must trod

I'll fall asleep

And wake in God's sweet heaven

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

So let the storm clouds rage high,

The dark clouds rise,

They don't bother me;

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

He walks with me,

And naught of earth shall harm me,

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

A Spring Of Living Water!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Like a cool drink of water on a hot summer day. Like a warm plate of food when we are starving. What nourishes our spirit or our soul today? What types of things are we doing to support that nourishment. Without nourishment we can physically die, so also it is with the spirit. Without nourishing our spirit we could die. Living is not walking around half dead, living is giving ourselves every tool, every encouragement, every nourishment we need to get where we need to go. We can't expect to put bad things in and get good things out. It just doesn't work that way. John 4:14 says: "but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." Imagine living every day with that spring of life welling up in us. With a well like that our lives would be abundant, happy, successful. Let's get a hold of that living water today. Let it transform our lives into what God intended it to be! Be blessed!

The Value God Places On Our Lives!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we loved ourselves as much as God loves us? Would we give our life for ourselves? Would we take a beating for ourselves? Would we suffer ridicule for ourselves. Sometimes I think God thinks more of us than we do ourselves. If God created us and He believes we are so special that He would give his life, then why do we have such a hard time grasping it? Why do we mistreat God's special creation. I dare to say that every time we mistreat ourselves, it has to make God sad that we care so little about what He created. I challenge all of us today, to accept our worth, the value that God has placed on us and no longer allow the enemy to tear us down, to cause us to think ourselves low. When he comes at us, we should shout out that we are a CHILD OF THE KING! We are created in His likeness and no one else's. His abundance is our abundance, his joy is our joy, his peace is our peace! Hallelujah!!! Be blessed!

Lead With Our Heart!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! The Bible says that God looks on the heart of man. It's our heart that determines ultimately what we do, where we go, how we react and how we love... or it should. It's our heart that strives to do the right thing, that strives to make right decisions. The more we can live from our heart the better our lives, the better the decisions we make and the more love we have. It's seeing people the way that God sees them. If God looks on the heart of man then instead of being quick to see (judge) with our eyes, let's let our heart decide. We notice that children and sometimes animals seem to be able to read people pretty accurately. Maybe that's because they haven't gotten into seeing only with their eyes but they still operate through their heart space. Let's open our heart space today, get a heart makeover. Let's view people today with our hearts and allow love to saturate us and flow to others. God loves us and calls each of us to love Him and those around us. Be Blessed!

Blessings Come When We Focus On Others...

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I have to share something today. I am assured that if we want to get a firm grip on our circumstances, we only have to spend time with others who have experienced great loss or are less fortunate, then our troubles seem so small. Last night I was privileged to be asked to perform for an infant loss remembrance ceremony. One by one the women shared their stories. One might think, oh the baby didn't live, that's tough but they can have other children....it's amazing how we judge situations without really knowing the whole story. I listened to immense heartache as one lady told of holding her baby day after day as it fought to survive. How she cradled her when she finally couldn't hold on anymore. Today I assure my troubles are nothing compared to this lady and many others. Today I am so grateful for the many blessings that I have. I found this blurb below and wanted to share. Sometimes we just need to get our minds off our own troubles and help others who are worse off. That is where the blessings come from! Be blessed!

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.
Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."--

Fear Not! Just Believe!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Today, I want to send out this message. Be Strong and courageous! Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. I think sometimes the last person on our list that we turn to is God. The very person who can do anything in our lives, the one person who can answer all our needs we seek out last. Why is that? When we believe in God, we must know that he can do anything for us, when we ask and when we believe. Our friends can only help so much. But God can help a lot! Where is our trust in the Lord today? If we can't trust in Him, if we can't believe on Him, then what do we have? Where is the manifestation of God in our lives? He is our ever present help!! Let us turn to Him today! Be Blessed!

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Where Are The Exits?

Good Morning Christian Peeps! When we get in precarious situations, we immediately look for a way of escape. We usually do not look for the exits until we need them. How many times have we gotten on an airplane and not really thought about where the exits are but as soon as we hit turbulence...man our eyes began scanning, right? Well, the same is true in our spiritual walk. I Corinthians 10:13 says: No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. God has already laid out the exit strategy for us. Every situation we get ourselves into, he provides that window of opportunity to escape. We just have to choose to take the exits. I love that He is faithful! His exits will always be there! Be Blessed!

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

A Change Will Do You Good!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Last night Greg and I put a different mattress on our bed. It had been a while since we had a new one. I slept so good! I feel clearer, more focused and my mood is amazing! I wonder what we could change in our lives that could make all the difference in the world. What could we eliminate, exchange, or replace that would change our focus, our outlook and our mood? Even Jesus had to get away from the crowds and get refreshed. Sometime we just need to step away and take some time to reboot, revive, and relax. It could mean the difference between a good decision and a bad one. Think on these things today. Like spring cleaning, it's time for the clutter to be gone. Be Blessed!

The Keys To Success!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! If today we are saying to ourselves, how can I succeed, how can I prosper, how can I be blessed? Then the answer lies in the scripture below. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But....his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law doth he meditate both day and night. Then he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season... his leaf shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. This is the key. We can be all that God made us to be! In his word he gives us the tools to succeed no matter what we are going through. Let's dive into his word! Be Blessed!

Psalm 1

:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD;

and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;

his leaf also shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

It's Raining Today!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I ran across this quote from Helen Keller and had to share. We all would like to think that we are working in order to retire one day and enjoy the fruits of our hard labor.....but think with me for a minute. If we spend so much time working to enjoy later and later never comes....what have we accomplished? The solution is to work but take time to enjoy today. Don't push ourselves to limits that we can't possibly attain. Don't over extend ourselves until joy has passed us by. Waiting for a rainy day or a later day, is like playing rush and roulette with our lives. Take a deep breath, find time to laugh, to love, to hug, to live! Be blessed!

-- I suppose I ought to find some comfort in the thought that I am laying up treasures for future enjoyment, but I am improvident enough to prefer present joy to hoarding riches against a rainy day.” Helen Keller

Why Prayers Aren't Answered Sometimes....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! We have all heard the scriptures that basically say, "ask and you shall receive". There are numerous scriptures that say if you ask and believe you shall receive. Well, I was saying this morning, God I do believe, why then are my prayers not answered? So I went to good ole google and looked up why prayers sometimes aren't answered. This is what I found. It is the best explanation I have ever seen. I hope this helps all of us this morning. I know it helped me. When we obey his word then we can see the answers to our prayers, we can see miracles happening all around us. We can see the salvation of God being manifested! Be Blessed!

(Christiananswers.net)
1. We don't really believe God can answer them.

Jesus said:

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matthew 21:22)

James wrote:

“But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does” (James 1:6-8).

Believing is perhaps the best known condition for prayer. But there are other reasons prayer is not answered.

2. We ask with wrong motives.

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures” (James 4:3).

3. Unconfessed sin separates us from God, so that He cannot hear.

“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities (sins) have separated you from God; your sins have hidden his face from you so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2).

4.  We set up idols in our hearts that come between us and God.

“Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?” (Ezekiel 14:3).

5. We don't answer those who cry to us for help.

“If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered” (Proverbs 21:13).

6. We don't remain in God/God's Word doesn't remain in us.

“If you remain in me and my word remains in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you” (John 15:7).

God Is Able To Do Exceeding Abundantly Above......!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Ephesians 3:16-21 This is my prayer this morning for all of us.. But this morning let us pay attention to verse 20...now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.....above all that we ask or think!!! I love that part... according to the power that worketh in us. Are we letting the power of the Holy Spirit work in us? Are we allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us? God is able to do exceeding abundantly above what we ask or think this morning. Let's turn the Holy Spirit loose this morning and give it free reign in our lives! Stand back....get ready.....something great is about to happen! Be Blessed!

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The Answer Is On The Way!!!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Last night at Bible study, pastor talked about how when Daniel prayed; the scripture says he was heard the first time but opposition was sent to keep the answer from reaching Daniel. It wasn't until Micheal stepped in and fought the opposition that the answer was able to be delivered to Daniel. (Read Daniel 10-12-16) The study scribes talked about how Daniel wasn't aware that his prayer had already been answered so "in faith" he continued to make supplication to God. I said all that to say this.... if we have sent a prayer up to Heaven but haven't received an answer....Hang on! There are forces we don't even know about that would like to keep our answers from reaching us. There is warfare going on all around us to block God's blessings. But there are also Angels fighting for us to make sure we receive those blessings and answers. So I encourage all of us today to began to thank God for our answered prayers because they are on the way! Be Blessed!

Greater Is He!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! We know the story....the ants who are great in number bow down to the grasshoppers who are small in number but have a huge voice! They tell the Ants that unless they gather food for them they will be destroyed. Well to make a long movie short... the ants finally realize, with the help of one ant who refuses to live that way, that if they all bind together they can outsmart and out number the grasshoppers. And in the end they do! The moral of the story? We may be small but we serve a Great Big God! We may be one voice but greater is he that lives inside of us than he that is in the world! When one voice and one action combines with other like voices and other like actions there will be a great move of God!!!! Let's determine today to stop being controlled and stepped on by the enemy of this world but realize that the God that lives on the inside of us has the power to whip any demon that stands against us. He has the power to speak and the turmoil in our lives becomes still. With the stripes he endured our healing is assured! Hallelujah!!! Be Blessed today!!!

He Finishes What He Starts!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! God does not tell you to begin something and then leave you halfway through it. He is a wise builder and an expert craftsman. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He finishes what He starts.” Jay Lee Grady Think about this for a minute. God gave each of us a promise. Then he goes about giving us strategies, plans, building materials etc. Now he doesn't give us that all at once. Just like a contractor, each piece comes together when it is time. We must search out the plans, gather our materials, plan strategies, build foundations and all the while we experience set backs, too much rain, high winds, and material back logs. Sound familiar? So our project is taking a little longer. There are examples of this throughout history. But the great part is? That through each constructive part, we learn something new about our trade and we grow! The main thing we learn is that through all the bad times God does not leave us nor forsake us and if we continue our faith in him and hold on, he really does get to finish the work he started in us! Be Blessed!

Nothing Can Separate Us From God's Love!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Thought we could use a reminder about God's love for us today. Romans 8:37-39 says that nothing can separate us from God's love. Not death, nor life, angels or rulers, things present nor things to come, no powers no height, no depth or and I love this part... anything else in all creation! God loves us and that will never change! No matter what we may have done, no matter how far we feel from God, no matter how low we are, God's love is there. He gave his only son for us. He walked through the fire for the Hebrew children. He went looking for that one lost sheep. Let God's love surround us today. Nothing can come between us today! Be blessed!

Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Sweet Spot!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! When a basketball player makes a goal from a particular area over and over, we call that his sweet spot. We have a sweet spot too. Our sweet spot is that part of us that produces a goal, something good, something sweet. We know where our sweet spot is. It's that part of us that when we use it we get that warm feeling all over. We know that we have done something good! God created that sweet spot in us. That spot from which his spirit can flow. That spot from which our anointing our calling can work. Pay attention to that sweet spot, focus on producing from there more and "sweet" things will happen. Be Blessed!

God Has Got This!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” I know I have probably sent this scripture numerous times before but I just love it! Especially in the times we are facing now. This scripture is all the hope and assurance that we need. I love that it sounds like God is saying, "hey I know things look bad, but don't worry, I got this!" So basically all we have to do is rest in him and be of good cheer! When people around us began to speak negative about what is going on....just look at them, smile and say, "God's got this! It's gonna be okay!" God is so good, is he not?! We have only to count our blessings and we know that... it's all good! Be Blessed!

The Living Well!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! John 4:14 But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Are we drinking from the right well? There are so many things offered to us that seem right, that look good but what do they produce in our lives? When we drink from the living water, great things are produced in our lives. Just regular everyday things cannot fill us up like the living spring that God offers. God's well produces joy, peace, love all the things that make our life better. That spring then flows out of us into others. Our joy can flow into them. Our peace can touch them and most of all our love can cover them! God's well never runs dry. Take a drink and see what God can do! Be Blessed!

The Search For Truth..

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Possession of the truth can sometimes make one indolent, lazy and proud, but the search for truth keeps one active, expectant and humble. (paraphrasing) We should always be searching for truth. We cannot think that we have all the answers and sit down. We cannot assume that we know all there is to know. It is our search for truth that gives us hope. The truth we may find tomorrow could solve all....so we get out of bed and we continue on the journey discovering wonderful new things we never knew. Truth will set us free. It creates a higher ground where when climbed reveals so much more....

Is It A Mirage, Or Is It Real?

Good Morning Christian Peeps! What mirage are we chasing? A Mirage is something that appears real or possible but is not. I heard a word from Joyce that was another Aha moment for me. I always wondered why I am constantly wanting to move on to the next thing. Seemingly unsatisfied with where I am. Well, sometimes the enemy creates mirages for us. Those things that appear real but are not. That has been his way of keeping me from fulfilling my purpose. As long as he can keep me searching for that new and better thing he can keep me distracted from my real purpose. I had to take a moment and accept that word into my spirit and ask God to help me stop being distracted with mirages and focus on the real purpose that he has for me. I pray today that we can all recognize that mirage that the enemy has placed in front of us and ask God to remove it and let us see with spiritual eyes where we need to be. Be Blessed!

The River, Our Life....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! If we have ever been on a river we know that the river flows at it's on pace. Sometimes it's fast and other times it's slow. It curves where it wants and does not bend to anyone's demands. Our lives are a little like that. For the most part we are not in control. We flow here and there turning where our lives lead us. Sometimes we grab a branch and try to change the flow but ultimately we end up probably where we were headed anyway and only succeeded in taking a small detour. We can learn from the river though. We can learn to just roll with the tide, paddle to keep ourselves straight and ride out the big waves laughing as the water threatens to drown us. It's so much more fun and peaceful when we just go where the river (life) takes us instead of fighting the river every step of the way. Just like the river we do possess a creator who oversees both journeys. He doesn't interfere unless we ask but once in a while if we get in over our heads he will send a branch to help keep our heads above water. It's not the end destination that the river is wanting but it is simply embracing the journey. Be Blessed!

Change Can Be For Our Good!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  We are often bombarded with unexpected events.  Sometimes these events can alter our lives and existence immediately.  What we once knew and recognized has now drastically changed.  Or maybe its a small change but it still impacts us in a very real way.  Our first instinct is to fight the change.  Dig in our heels and refuse to move.  We may believe that if we dig in long enough and hard enough things will not change...that somehow we can magically make them return to the way they were.  In reality this is not the case.  Change will happen, that is a given but what separates us is the way we handle change.  Thus enter the scripture Isaiah 43:18-19   Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  If we can grasp this scripture and know that God is changing things because he knows a better way for us.  He sees the future and whatever change takes place is what needs to be for our good.  He may have to create a river in the desert just for us but you can bet in the long run it will be for our good!  God loves us and has our best interest at heart!  Be Blessed!

We Do Not Have To Be Afraid!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” We all know the story of how the walls of Jericho came down, but do we know that the same God that helped Joshua bring down his walls can help us do the same? Joshua obeyed God. He had his army march around the walls once each day. He followed God's instruction right to the letter. By obeying God he was able to see what God could do to the walls of Jericho. What walls do we have in our lives today? What monumental situation seems to be dominating our lives? We do not have to be afraid of those walls. God is with us wherever we go! Let go and let God show us how to break down those walls. Be Blessed!

What If?

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  What if today instead of running from our fears we turn and run toward our dreams?  What if today we decide that we are done worrying about situations that we cannot control and give them to God?  What if today we said I refuse to just get by, I will put everything I have into today. What if we refuse to be a cloud and instead we shone bright as the sun?  What if today we chose to give ourselves completely to a cause?  What if we decided to stand up for what we believe in?  What if we chose today to make a difference in a hurting world?  Then today could be the success that we have longed for.  Be Blessed!

Be Better! It's Our Right!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! “When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” ― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist The greatest part about who we are as human beings is the free will we have to make our own choices. We can choose at any moment to change our paths, and change our ideas to become a better part of ourselves. It's important that we understand it is our right to choose positivity over negativity. It is our right to love harder than ever before. It is our right to stand up for what we believe. It is our right to become better and better at who we are; and when we do everything around us looks better, taste better, feels better...it just is better! . Let's exercise those rights to be all we can be! Be Blessed!

Life Preserver!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Some days I say thank God for my life preserver! There are days or moments when we just float. We float through work, we float through kids activities, we float through getting dinner ready....we just float. We aren't drowning, but we aren't swimming either. We are just floating along hoping to achieve everything we wanted all the while looking forward to just climbing into bed and letting it all go away. This can go on for days. I believe that it is a sort of mechanism that we humans have. When things get overwhelming we just put on our life preserver and float through the really heavy waters until we can get to shallow waters where we can take off the preserver and swim a little while. That's okay! It's okay to float a while until we can handle things. It's okay to give ourselves a break for a while until we can climb back on the horse so to speak. That is the whole principle behind the footprints in the sand. We couldn't walk, so Jesus carried us! He is there waiting to carry us or just slip on that life preserver until we can get our legs under us again. Until we can swim again.... God is there. Be Blessed!

Stay The Course!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Ever felt overwhelmed with many decisions? Ever felt alone in making those decisions? Sometimes we have things seemingly coming at us from all directions. Sometimes we just want to give up, sit down and cry for lack of knowing what to do. But it's important that we realize that we do not have to navigate all of these decisions alone. It really is as simple as giving our uncertainties over to God and just staying the course until we receive an answer. Staying the course means perservering no matter the obstacles. So we stay the course, turn our decisions over to God, get quiet and let him show us the answer. Just know that we are NOT ALONE! Be Blessed!

Have We Forgotten To Live?

I have been on vacation this past week and wasn't able to send out the daily peeps. I am glad that it was missed I hope that means that you guys are being encouraged.

Good Morning Christian Peeps! "Men for the sake of getting a living forget to live." --Margaret Fuller

Sometimes we must stop, take a break and asked ourselves: "Is what I am doing for money to make a living allowing me to live?" If the answer is in any way no...then it's time to rethink our lives and our means of making a living. By no means does that suggest that we need to quit our jobs but it does afford us a chance to see if we are letting our jobs control our lives. If we are only working to pay bills what happens to those bills when we are gone? Therefore, did we really accomplish anything? Now again that doesn't suggest that we are not to pay our bills but that maybe we should cut back on the amount of bills we are creating. What is life if not to live and how do you live if you never have a life? When we feel that our lives are out of control we can ask God to show us ways to live a more balanced life. My life became more balanced when I began and ended my day with prayers of thanksgiving to God. When we put God first all the other things balance out. What if our lives centered around not how many things we possessed but by how many people we blessed! It's time to take stock....It's time to live a more balanced more abundant life. Be blessed!

It's The Little Steps...

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Sometimes we become overwhelmed with situations and things we know we must do. Sometimes they are so overwhelming that we become paralyzed and can't seem to take even the smallest step to work them out. But if we can just approach it in little pieces we can begin to see a change. Maybe not at first but if we have the strength to keep it up, we will see something moving. It's the little steps we take that make the biggest difference. Whatever is standing in our way can be handled if we just start somewhere. Sometimes just cleaning my house can be so overwhelming that I will let it go for a couple of days....when if I would just start in a room and work away until I finish that room, then I would be encouraged to move on to the next. We can't tackle everything at once but we can start somewhere. Don't let that mountain in front of us keep us from our destiny. Choose today to chip away at it's very existence and watch what happens. Be Blessed!

Our Circle Of Influence....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! We hear alot about our circle of influence. Those people within our circle that we influence and who influence us. Maybe the reason we don't feel successful or fulfilled is because we are influencing the wrong people. Maybe our circle of influence doesn't need our influence anymore. Maybe it's time to find a new circle of influence. Maybe it's time to reach those people who really need and can use our influence. Maybe we need new influence by new people. We can only influence those people that we have contact with.....where does that leave the people that really need the influence? Hhmm....

Be Blessed!

Don't Wait!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Don't wait to hug someone today, they could be gone tomorrow. Don't wait to follow your dream, you could be gone tomorrow. Don't wait to see that sunrise or sunset, someday you won't have the option. Don't hesitate to help those in need, the need may get filled by someone else. Don't forget to validate your children, if you don't someone else will...the wrong way. Don't pass up the opportunity to dance in the rain...there could come a drought! Don't ever let age stop you from living, that will come soon enough. Don't worry about tomorrow or yesterday, you can't relive the one and you may not need the other! Today is where it is at. What wonderful things can we do today! Be Blessed!

Thursday, August 9, 2012

Today......

Good Morning Christian Peeps! We have this moment, this day. It's not about yesterday anymore....that day is past and we can't change it. It's not about tomorrow because tomorrow has not yet arrived. It's about today! What will we do today. We decide right now how our day will go. Choosing love is a given. Today I choose to love people without conditions. Today I choose to give someone an ear to hear their problems. Today I give a hand to someone in need. Today I smile just because I'm alive. Today I count my blessings every one. Today I live to the best that I can be! Today...... Be Blessed!

Dont' Be A Copy.....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! At what point were we told that who we were wasn't good enough? The man who created all of the heavens and the earth, created man and women. Each molecule, each ventricle, was made by Him. Why then do we spend so much time questioning who we are? We are what he has created us to be. Each one of us knows deep down what that is....why then do we avoid it? We spin our wheels trying to be something or someone that we are not and wonder why we are not happy. When we can embrace who we are fully, then happiness and peace comes. Be Blessed!

You were born an original. Don't die a copy. ~John Mason

Desert Experiences....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! The drought we experienced this year could be used for encouragement. We often go through seasons in our walk with God when everything feels dried up. We don't feel God, we can't hear God, everything seems barren, and we aren't producing anything at all. But God is there even in the drought. If we never knew what it was like to be thirsty we would never seek out water. If we didn't know what it was like to feel alone, we wouldn't appreciate the moments we feel God all around us. It's those desert experiences that teach us so much about ourselves. Just as we had to hold on and believe that rain would eventually come... we must know that eventually this drought in our life will pass and things will be green again. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 Be Blessed!

Eleven Hints For Life

Good Morning Chrisitan Peeps!  (Taken from "The Best Life Quotes)

Eleven Hints for Life"

1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return.

But what is more painful is to love someone and never

find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who

means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was

never meant to be and you just have to let go.

3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a

porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away

feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

4. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose

it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been

missing until it arrives.

5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an

hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it

takes a lifetime to forget someone.

6. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth,

even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you

smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day

seem bright.

7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go,

be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and

one chance to do all the things you want to do.

8. Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it

hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.

9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck

a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may

heal and bless.

10. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best

of everything they just make the most of everything that comes

along their way.

11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with

a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone

around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die,

you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Oh, The Sun Is Coming Up!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! There is a song that popped into my head this morning, "Oh the sun is coming up in the morning, every tear will be gone from my eyes...." No matter what we may be going through already today, or what we may be facing, just know that the sun is coming up, God is our sun, he wipes every tear away, he takes every situation and turns it for our good. He walks with us and he talks with us. We are never alone. Let's lift up our heads, for the sun is coming up for us today! Be Blessed!

I Will Not Be Moved!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I am determined in my heart that nothing can separate me from the love of God! When we are determined we can accomplish anything. A baby is determined to crawl and does. There have been times in our lives when we have been determined to accomplish something and when we set our mind to it, there was no stopping us! So what has happened to that person? Where is the person who will be determined that nothing shall stand in the way of whatever we want to accomplish? There is a time to determine in our hearts that we will not let the enemy stop us from what God has planned for us! We need to stand flat footed and determine that we will not be moved from our purpose! Shout out the words today of the hymn...."I Shall Not Be Moved!" Determine that today will be the day that things change in our lives! Be Blessed!

Wait And See!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Remember how excited we got before our birthday or Christmas? We would ask our parents what did you get me and there response would be "wait and see"! Well, maybe some of us are asking our Father today "Lord what are your plans for me?" And His response will be "wait and see". That usually means that what is coming is amazing! So today when the enemy tries to rob you of your joy and make you wonder what the next step is or when God is going to bring you out of a situation....just remember....we have to wait and see because what God has for us is amazing! It is right around the corner. So hold on today! Just wait in anticipation for what wondrous things God has in store for us! Be Blessed!

It's All About More....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Excellence is: caring more than others think is wise; Risking more than others think is safe; Dreaming more than others think is practical. Expecting more than others think is possible. Winston Churchill. The more we love, the more love we get back. The more we care, the more others care for us. The more we give, the more we get back. More is the word today. Do more, not less. In the end it will pay off. Be Blessed!

What Is Our Why?

Good Morning Christian Peeps! “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.”― Friedrich Nietzsche There is a why for everything we do. We may not always be able to completely articulate it but it is there. What is our why for our job, our hobbies, our relationships? What is the reason we get up everyday and do what we do? It's that why...initially that hope that keeps us going. That keeps us driving ourselves. It's important that before we decide to take on anything, we determine and ask ourselves these questions? "Why am I doing this?" Does it benefit for good? Does it fulfil me? Does it contribute to the common good of man kind? Does this make me happy? Do I have a motive? What can I gain from this? How will this affect others around me? When the why is strong enough to promote our will to live....then we can bear whatever life lesson, whatever hardship, whatever sacrifice we may have to make for the how. When we figure out the why, we can endure the how......Be Blessed!

Prayer For Those Grieving....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I found this prayer in the prayer library and thought it was appropriate for all of us who know people who are grieving right now.

Father, I pray for all of those that have lost a loved one and are grieving...

They're hurting for many reasons, and I ask You to help them through this season of loss. I reach out to You, the Father of compassion and the Source of every comfort, asking You to touch them with Your unfailing love and kindness. Be their God who comforts them as they're going through their struggles, and bring them through the tough things ahead. Come alongside them in their pain, and strengthen them so they'll one day be able to help others who face the same struggles.

2 Corinthians 1:3–4;

King James Version (KJV)

3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Peace Be Still....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Oliver Wendell Holmes said it best: "Greatness is not in where we stand, but in what direction we are moving. We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - but sail we must, and not drift, nor lie at anchor." When a boat sets out to sea, the crew have no way of knowing what lies ahead. They can only hope for safe and calm travels. What they can do is prepare their ship to withstand any and all storms. They will need to stock up on water, food and other supplies to last through whatever may come their way. Our lives are the same. We do not know what storms tomorrow will bring, but we can prepare to face whatever they are. Our greatest asset is Jesus! His love protects us and covers us. I'm reminded of the story when a storm blew up on the disciples and the Lord stepped out and just said "Peace be still". Can we let him do that for us today? In the midst of our storm, can't we just let Jesus say "Peace be still"? Be Blessed!

Love Endures All!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Love endures all. This love thing has got me twisted up. I am reading one of the best books from Max Lucado called "A Love Worth Giving". I highly recommend this book. God's love endures it all. All the times we failed him, all the times we were not truthful, all the times we didn't talk to him, all the times we mistreated him, all the times we called his name in vain. He endured it all because he loved us! Can we say that today? Can we truthfully say that we love our spouses, our children, our friends, coworkers, family with a love that endures all? How amazing is that love? I am finding out just what God meant when he said.....seek and ye shall find. I am seeking... I want that kind of love for everyone around me. I believe that when we can truly love people the way that God loves us....we can change our world. Jesus gave us the most important commandment.... Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, then love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love! Be Blessed!

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself Luke 10:27

And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13:13

True Love....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Love is so much more than a word. It goes beyond the basics. It stretches farther than we can imagine. Love transcends the darkest night. Love brings hope to places of despair. Love gets up in the middle of the night to help someone. Love gives it's last dollar just to see someone smile. Love puts itself last in any situation and prefers others over him/herself. So many times we try to put our own definition on love and our own spin on it. We try to imagine what love feels like or how it should make us feel. The world has given us so many skewed ideas of love that we are lost and confused. Maybe we are looking at the wrong source for true love. The Bible gives us so many clues in the love chapter (I Corinthians 13). We try to make it so complicated and complex but it is very simple. When we love with the love of Christ, which is the only love....we would ultimately die for that person, we would protect them, we would encourage them, we would delight in their truth not in their wrong doing. We would support them and lift them up. We would not keep a record of their wrongs, we would not use leverage against them to keep the upper hand. If true love is what we seek we have only to measure it with God's love to know if it is the real deal. Be Blessed!

Trusting Allows For Peace!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! Ever wondered what it would be like to have peace and not worry about things we don't have control over? Well now you can! I sound like an advertisement but it's true. We have heard that practice makes perfect, well it can improve a lot that's for sure. I decided to start practicing letting go and letting God handle situations. But I found out that you certainly have to start small. It's about trusting. There is an exercise that they do in company's where you have to fall backward and let your coworker catch you. You have to trust that he/she will do just that. It's hard to do if you don't really know that person, but it's the same with God. Starting with the little things, just envision yourself standing there with this issue and just hand it over to God. Imagine you are falling backwards into the arms of God and truly let it go. Then you will have peace. God really does take care of things better than we ever could and he already knows the outcome. So maybe the prayer is: Dear God, I give all my problems that are out of my control to you today and I just ask for the strength to walk out your plan. God is so faithful to take care of it all. Trust in Him! Be blessed!

We Can And We Will!!!

Good Morning Christian Peeps! (today and most days I am saying this like Robin Williams said "Good Morning Vietnam") remember that movie? Today is a good day, today is the day that the LORD has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it. Notice I said I will....not maybe, not probably should, not sort of.... I WILL! When we make up our minds to do something don't we do it with everything we have? Yes we do! The enemy knows this and tries very hard to keep our minds busy with worry, sickness, disease, frustration, exhaustion and anything else he can. But we must determine and set our minds each day that we WILL be joyful, that we WILL overcome, that we WILL triumph today and everyday! It's like those movies where even though the ants are small and the grasshoppers seem bigger and stronger....when the ants make up their minds that they will not take the abuse anymore.....WOW....they bind together and make their move and there isn't a grasshopper around who can defeat that! Well same goes....when we bind together in Jesus Name....there isn't a devil in hell who can come against that! So today is the day of our triumph, today is the day for celebration because God is on the throne! Hallelujah! Be Blessed!

Surrender The Imitation For The Genuine!

Good Morning Christian Peeps!  (A great little short story)  A young girl was given some imitation pearls and she loved them.  Everywhere she went the pearls went.  She was very protective of her pearls.  One day her Father returned from a long business trip.  As he was tucking her in for the night he asked her, "Do you love me" and of course she said yes.   Then he said, "more than the pearls?"  Yes, she said.  Then he asked if she would give him the pearls, she said no Daddy, I love them very much.  He said ok.  The little girl thought about that for a long time and the next morning she went to her Father and said, Daddy I do love you more than the pearls... you can have them and she presented the pearls to her Father.  Her Father smiled and said great!  He reached into his briefcase and took out a box for her.  When she opened it she found a genuine set of pearls.  Our Father is the same.  He would love to give us our hearts desire!  Give us the best of everything, but sadly we tend to hold onto the imitation afraid that if we let it go, we would lose it all.  But when we can let go of the imitation that the enemy provides, surrender it over to God, then and only then can he give us the best of the best....the genuine.  Surrender today the imitation and let God give the genuine.  Be Blessed!

Love Is Patient, Love Is Kind....

Good Morning Christian Peeps! I Corinthians 13 gives us an definition of what love is. The very first words of that scripture is "Love is patient, Love is kind." Sometimes it is just hard to be patient with others. Sometimes it's hard to be kind to others, but if we stop to think how many times God is patient with us or kind to us.....it might help us to realize just how important being patient and kind to others really is. We cannot expect grace if we cannot give grace. There is a wonderful parable in the Bible that talks about how a man owed the King a lot of money. He begged the King to forgive him and the King was moved and extended grace to the man. Then the man who had just been forgiven went out did not extend grace and forgiveness to someone who owed him. When the King found out the man went to prison until he could pay back his debt. Let us extend grace today. Let us be patient and kind to those we love. Let us love like God loves. When we practice patience and kindness to others we gain peace. Be Blessed!

-- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
